NOTICE OF VIRTUAL PUBLIC HEARING BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP PLANNING BOARD PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at 7:00 PM, and at such other dates and times as such hearing may be continued, the Planning Board of Bloomfield Township will conduct a virtual public hearing to consider a request for preliminary and final site plan and variance approvals and design waivers (Sec. 315 Attachment 1: lot area 10,000 sf. minimum, 9,218 sf. existing; lot width 100 ft. minimum, 50 ft. existing; side yard setback 10 ft. minimum, 7.3 ft. existing; Sec. 315-41B: parking 7 spaces required, 3 spaces proposed) and such other variances, relief and/or waivers that may be required upon an analysis of the plans and testimony at the virtual public hearing on the Application submitted by the Applicant/Owner, DaSilva Group, Inc., for the property located at 230 Broad Street, Block 513, Lot 40 on the Tax Map of Bloomfield Township. The Applicant is proposing to convert the existing 5,052 sf. building into a child care center and installing an outdoor play area of approximately 940 sf. along with a reconfigured parking area, landscaping and related site improvements on the property. The site is located within the PO/R and R-1B Zones. In light of the current COVID-19 pandemic and in an effort to follow best practices recommended by the State of New Jersey and the United States Center for Disease Control, the Bloomfield Township Planning Board public meeting on February 8, 2022 at 7:00 PM will not be in-person but rather will be conducted by way of and through communications equipment, electronically via Zoom, the web-based video conference application, and telephonically, in compliance with the New Jersey Open Public Meetings Act and formal action will be taken by the Board during the virtual public hearing. Any person or persons affected by this application will have an opportunity to present any objections to or offer comments on the proposed development. The Board does, however, have the right to exclude repetitious testimony. It is recommended that anyone who anticipates undertaking cross-examination, introducing evidence and/or making public comment on any application advise the Board Secretary by email or phone in advance of the virtual meeting date to ensure that any additional documents to be identified or referenced at the virtual meeting can be available for review by all participants and members of the public. Nothing in this paragraph shall limit or prevent the ability of any member of the public to make any inquiries or offer comment or opinion on any application based upon the testimony and exhibits offered by an applicant at the virtual meeting.
